long time, back to blogging.

To say that these past couple of months have been absolute hell would be a complete understatement. I can’t even remember how to do this whole blogging thing as it feels like forever since I last sat down and actually wrote something.

I’m not going to sit here and write some bullshit story about how sorry I am for not posting anything because blogging has been the least of my worries lately.

But in all honesty, these past few months actually, have been quite the sort and it’s given me some sort of brain wave and a kick in the teeth/head, whatever sounds better.

I’ve found a boy, woooo! That’s not the main thing, but he’s great, he makes me happy and he has the kindest, most loving family ever. However, a few weeks ago we had a house fire. It started in his room which is absolutely awful and we’re never going to know how the fire actually started which is annoying, it’s sort of knowing something but not knowing it at the same time. Does that even make any sense? Who knows.

We’ve been stuck in a hotel for a good month now which is great for the comfy bedding and lush showers, but it makes you feel so isolated and low. I’ve been distant from my family due to helping out his family as it’s times like these where they need me a lot. It’s been stressful sorting out everything whilst actually knowing that there has been a fire in their house, their home, the place they go to for comfort and family time. Using the hotel car park is not the one for that.

My boyfriend lost quite a lot in his room, which is so heartbreaking. I lost all my makeup etc. It was so horrifying going into his room to see everything so black, so destroyed. The place where we used to run up to to chill or just get away from everything. It’s gone.

It was horrible to see his parents and everyone else so upset. It made me realise deeply how much I care about them and just how big of an impact they have on my life even though I’ve known them the shortest.

It was definitely something like this that made me realise just how important family is, I never in my life thought I would be involved in a fire but it happened. You can’t change the past. But the main thing is that we’re all okay. Everyone is safe and still standing.

It seems to me that everyone has to go through something bad just to see the good in everything. It took a fire for me to realise how short and fragile our lives really are. We take almost everything for granted but we never stop for a moment to really think about how lucky all of us really are, how lucky we are to have homes, to have a family, to have people around us.

It doesn’t matter if we have 1 million pounds or 1p, it’s what matters inside. What makes us happy, the people who make us happy and how grateful and lucky we are to be surrounded by such positive and inspiring people, the people who live their lives to the fullest, the ones who don’t care about anyone else’s opinions but their own preferences.

Everyone is worth it.

On a positive note, I stared a new job which I’m absolutely loving! I quit my other job as it wasn’t the best, I didn’t particularly like coming home every night smelling of fish and chips and having to wash my hair about twenty times in one night. It was awful but my new job is amazing. I love it, I’ve already met some amazing people who never fail to make me smile everyday.

I’ve also got two gorgeous rabbits!! My step mum and dad bought them for me as a gift for getting the job. They we originally named Bella and Snowy, but we found out that they’re actually two boys, so I got to name one of them my most favourite character ever. Thumper. They’re now named thumper and Rupert. They’re my babies, they’re just too cute.

There is always something good in the bad.

If anything, myself and my boyfriends family have grown closer. It made us realise how much we needed each other in times like these. We’ve grown such a good bond together, and I love it. I love being welcomed into a home and know that I’m safe and loved.

We’re all going away next month for a nice get away but it’ll be near Christmas therefore a lot of blogging photos will take place due to the style we’re going to be staying in, (I’m not saying anything though.)

I hope there’s still a fair few of you that still read my blog. I haven’t been on here in forever, I hope the cobwebs are now gone and we’re all back to normal. Maybe? Who knows. I’m hoping I get the time to post something soon, it depends on how busy it’s going to be. It’s a rollercoaster at the moment for everyone, but it’s going to come to an end soon, everything will be back to normal soon.

Life is a bitch, you just gotta have the strength to fight it.

lots of love,

Tanya Burr's "my paradise" eyeshadow palette

I recently picked up one of Tanya Burr's recently launched palettes in the name "my paradise". I've never owned a Tanya Burr palette but I mainly wanted to try out this one because I loved the pineapple detail and of course the summer vibe going on.

Summer is finally here (let's pray to the English gods that it stays that way) which means that rose gold is IN. I've been completely obsessing over this palette mainly because of the rose gold which is also shimmery, what more could a girl want? I also love that the packaging is rose gold too and that's a massive bonus.

The palette in itself is super girly and pretty which is right up my street. I'm loving everything girly at the moment so this is possibly my new bestfriend for the time being. It has a metallic touch to it which I also find really cool and eye-grabbing, and not to mention the mirrored heart inside, how cute?

When I first used this palette there wasn't much build up of the colours which was a little disappointing. However when I used it for a second time it was great. I wouldn't say that the pigmentation is the best but there is definitely something there and the outcome was so pretty and natural. I received so many compliments on that one day about my makeup saying how well it went with my skin tone and how pretty it made my eyes look which is also a really good compliment to receive.

I noticed how healthy and vibrant my eyes looked after using these colours and they really did go with everything about me. I was so used to wearing pinks and silvers that it became boring in the end so this was so good to be able to change everything up and try something new.

With the makeup look I've shared, I was using the colours "champagne cocktail" and "tranquility" which were such a good combination and had a really good turn out. My eyeliner seemed to stand out a lot more and it looked so good. I was so impressed too because it lasted all day which is amazing and what you need in weather like this!

Overall, I would give this palette a solid 8/10, the pricing is super affordable and it lasts forever. I'm so proud of Tanya for bringing out this palette as she's worked so hard on it and the turn out is incredible! I'll definitely be purchasing more of Tanya's beauty products soon!

What's in my makeup bag?

My makeup bag has changed quite a lot throughout the years, and I'm finding myself trying out different makeup each time. I thought I'd give you a sneak peak as to what I keep inside my makeup bag. I'm using the Zoella cosmetic bag which fits all my makeup in perfectly, and is so handy to carry around.

I use quite a lot of beauty products on my face as you can tell, but I'm super self-conscious of my natural skin, therefore I try to make it look as flawless as possible. I've been loving the combination of my two favourite concealers at the moment, Collection lasting perfection and Maybelline eye eraser. They both give excellent coverage to my skin and hide imperfections really well which is what you want. The only problem with both of these products is that they don't last as long as I'd like them too which is a real shame but I'm not bothered entirely because I love them both just as much.

For my foundation I've recently been trying out the Rimmel lasting perfection as I've spent so long using my Fit me foundation and it was time for a change. I love it mainly because it gives a medium to full coverage and looks so good with my tan. I do sometimes find that this doesn't last me the whole day which is a shame but it looks good when it's fresh so who honestly cares here?

I use two powders and I've finally become a part of the baking gang. Two months ago I wouldn't have even known what good comes from this but I just can't see myself without using it now. It has been an actual life saver for me and it really locks in your makeup where it's prone to fall off. I picked up the Rimmel match perfection powder and It's been my life at the moment. I would like to eventually venture out and try out the Laura Mercier translucent powder but that's definitely for another day. On top of the loose powder I lock everything in with my usual powder, Rimmel stay matte. It smells divine and works really well.

Eyebrows and contour

I'm most definitely not someone who spends half an hour on her eyebrows, I'm no where near that good! I only actually started filling my brows in daily this year and I just can't go out without anything on them now. I've been using the Maybelline master brow pro palette and I personally think it's amazing. I'm not sure whether this is a popular product but it's so handy for beginners and those who want a bit more control over the application of their brows. You get a wax which is so handy for making sure the brow product actually stays on all day, and then you get a highlighter to highlight your brow bone. I don't use the brow highlighter that much at all even though it's not a bad highlighter if I'm honest.

I've been using the Maybelline master sculpt for a few months now and it's so good considering I don't fully contour my face. It's not the best product I will admit. but it's great if you're only wanting a light contour on your face which is what I go for.

Anyone who knows me will know that the Violet Voss holy grail palette is my life. Ever since I won it I've been obsessing over it and I just can't get enough of it. The colours are all right up my street and the formula is insane. I mainly use the shades ploof, cranberry splash and crystal. I've been told a few times that pink eyeshadows really bring out my eyes and where I used to wear a lot of brown eyeshadows I found that it just made my eyes look a big mess and didn't look right on me at all. I'm always using the Maybelline lash sensational as my mascara because there's no fault in it. It's so great and never fails to impress me.

Setting and lips

MAC are possibly one of my favourite brands at the moment, I just love everything about them and they never fail to disappoint me. I've been especially loving how well it's helped hold my makeup on all day and that's all thanks to the Mac studio fix plus spray. I am obsessed with how great this product is and it honestly does the job it's supposed to do. I find that it's best if you apply this before and after your makeup because then it's like a sandwich of makeup. I made that up last month, so the setting spray is the bread and the makeup is the filling (don't even ask.) For my lips I've been using the Velvet teddy lipstick and it's one of my favourites at the moment. It looks so good on the lips and gives a great matte finish. I would really like to try out some different shades though, possibly some summery ones.

My top spring nail colours

Painting my nails has become such a hobby of mine; I love trying out new and different colours and also mixing them up, and now that Spring has finally hit, it's the season for all things pastel and pretty. I absolutely love pastel colours if you didn't know, I think they really light up the mood and are in general just the best. I've been loving these three nail polishes at the moment by Rimmel, they're part of the Rita Ora collection that I purchased a few years back.

wild-er-ness. I love lilac at the moment, it's such a pretty colour. This one looks super pretty on the nails and goes with pretty much any outfit.

rain rain go away. This is one of my favourite colours in my whole nail polish collection. I love how pretty yet simple nude colours look on, and they pretty much complete a look. This one has hints of brown in which I absolutely love!

peachella. I wore this the other day on my nails and I couldn't stop looking at my hands! This colour is perfect for summer, it looks great on and even better with a tan.

You can easily mix and match these colours up, they'll look great either way. These are definitely my go-to colours at the moment and I know that I'm going to be reaching for them a lot of the time!

finishing college and starting fresh

I've been so distant here on my blog recently, I never thought my health would take over everything in the way it has but unfortunately these things happen in life and I feel like it's time to talk about it.

I've always spent my life worrying about the little things in life, over-thinking every situation possible which of course isn't the way forward. I had a shitty childhood, something that's only really started to affect me now I'm getting older and mature, and it brings back a lot of memories that you tried so hard to forget about.

I spent my school and college years absolutely hating life and everyone. I didn't fit in at all no matter who I hung round with. I always felt very isolated and distant from society, which is why I decided to start up this blog of mine and express myself as an individual. I hated the fact that popularity was a thing and that you had to look good just to fit in with the crowd. That wasn't me. I hated others singling out everyone else, judging them on the most pathetic of reasons there was, I love everyone and will always respect everyone for who they are and the choices in which they make in life.

I decided by this point in time that I'm such an independent person and will forever love being just that. I love the idea of being able to make your own decisions in life and not having to worry about anyone else judging your every move. I love being on my own, not in the single-forever or screw-family kind of way, I just love being able to make the decisions in my life on my own and judge my own opinions and decisions.

The last several months of my life have been such a struggle. I'm not going to sit here and say that I'm okay because truth be told, I'm not. My life went from a strong 10/10, to a 2/10 in the space of seven months, and as much as I loved starting college and doing something I enjoy, a lot of other things happened in my life that changed me as a person.

I got put on tablets for depression and anxiety. It took me several months to pluck up the courage and finally talk about my feelings to someone and get help. I spent my first year in college absolutely hating myself but putting on this brave face for everyone so I didn't come across as "moody" as you get called that a lot with depression.

I'm not one to express my feelings to anyone, I keep them locked inside and then bottle them up. I cannot stress enough how much talking about it helped me. It was as if there had been this huge brick on my shoulder that had fallen and smashed, it was like a relief. It didn't make the problem go away but it made me realise that there are people to turn to if you need them, and that it's okay to not be okay.

Feeling the way in which I do, I've decided that after I've finished this year in beauty therapy, I'm going to quite college for good. I've decided that it's time to get better and improve myself and get ready for my future. It's been my absolute goal ever since I was 12 to be a blogger and vlogger and I'll continue to work extra hard to have the opportunity to do so. I've had people doubt me in the past, tell me that blogging isn't a proper job and it'll get you no where in life but this is my dream, nothing and no one can get in the way of that.

When I started my blog, I had no idea how much it would change my lifestyle. I've been sent products by brands I could have never dreamed of, and it's such an amazing feeling. To know that hard work and determination can get you to where you want to be if you put your absolute all into it. I've also met some of the most amazing blogging friends online who are adorable and the kindest people going. I've learnt more life advice from one blog post than I have in general. I love the blogging community so much.

I want to make small changes in my life, and make the most of my time off. I've signed myself up to the gym and I'm looking forward to starting, I've put it off for three years now but it's time to start and make physical changes to myself. I also want to learn more at home and learn to be independent and do adult things such as the washing, the ironing and all of the grown up things teenagers cringe at now. I also want to spent more time with my grandparents at home, I've lived with them for 11 years now and I'm getting older as are they. I'll be looking to move out soon and I want to spend as much time as I can with them, to say thank you for everything in which they have done for me, and for them to also spend more time with me.

I know that it's not going to get better today, but it's better than yesterday and we always have tomorrow to look forward to. I've started to live in the moment, not think about the past but look forward to the future. You'll only get knocked back ten times harder if you keep looking back, that's why I've decided to take a break and focus on where I want to be and how I'm going to get there. It'll take time but it's honestly so worth it in the end.

I'm going to be doing an advice chapter on my blog soon, I love helping others and giving them advice, so feel free to email me whenever if you need advice of somewhat. We're all in this together, and I'm hoping that this little blog of mine can somewhat help you in any way.

Thanks so much,

Kay x

Lush products you need right now

I recently popped into Lush just to have a look because I always find myself in there for some reason. I noticed that I've only ever purchased bath bombs and one face mask from there, so I really wanted to go out and have a good look.

One of the lovely workers in my local store gave me a demo of these lovely massage bars, the first one being "scrubee" and the second one being "soft Couer". I never really saw the big fuss on massage bars until I started college. I learnt how beneficial massage and creams were for your skin and health, so it seemed coincidental that he gave me a demo of these two.

The first one I was given a demo on, was soft coeur. This one you don't have to use on wet skin, so it's handy if you just want to give your skin a little nourishment on the go. It has cocoa butter inside which is also really great for your skin and makes you feel relaxed too.

I find that this works straight away. You don't even have to wait for it to kick in, it's just that great. The oils that develop onto your skin really massage deeply and give your skin the moisture in which it needs. I love that this stuff smells so good, and it lasts ages too.

This one is a personal favourite of mine and I'm so gutted that it's only part of their mothers day collection. They named it scrubee which is super adorable.

This is a body butter with an exfoliation too. I use the top as the exfoliation and then the bottom as the body butter. This was definitely the first product from Lush that ever made me so pleased. I was so impressed with how well this helped my skin, and it's actually made an improvement with how well my fake tan goes on.

My skin feels so fresh and new after I've used this, and the body butter really helps to nourish my skin and give it the pamper in which it needs. At a price of £6, I don't think you could say no. As I said though, it's such a shame this product is only limited edition for mothers day, so I'm making sure that I'm stocking up before they're all gone.

Let me know if you've tried any of these products because they're honestly so good, and I'm so pleased that I picked them up.

MAC fix plus settting spray

I feel like setting sprays have become hugely popular over the years. I myself have never really owned one, nor known what the hell they do so when I purchased my first one I was a little confused as to how and what to use it for.

MAC are a brand I've grown so much love for recently, and I'm finding myself buying more and more from them. I've heard a lot about their setting sprays as they're pretty much in every makeup bloggers collection. So you know, being the blogger that I attempt to be, I thought I'd check it out and see what the fuss is all about.

At a price of £18, you couldn't really say no. It's a lot cheaper than the Urban Decay all nighter, and in my own opinion a lot better because the all nighter just didn't work for me at all which sucks. It was like spraying nothing on your face.

When I first tried out the fix plus spray, I sprayed it a little too close to my face, making it look like I'd poured water down my face. Much to Toni's horror because she thought it was hilarious... The second time I used this I sprayed an even amount onto me, which seemed like a good amount of coverage.

12 hours later and my makeup was STILL in place. The places in which it would have never stayed on before, my forehead, chin and under eyes, were still the same as the morning. I was so pleased.

I'm not one for constantly topping my makeup up, having to rush to Debenhams to touch up my foundation and wastely use my powder, it gets annoying. It was so handy to be able to get through my day knowing my makeup was still in place and looking good.

My tip would definitely be to spray this before AND after your makeup, because I can guarantee that it will stay in place. I never thought I would find a setting spray that I would be so pleased with, but this one definitely worked well with me.

New beauty finds

I set myself a goal for this year to collect more makeup as I really want to expand my makeup collection and create different looks for my blog to share with you. I've always been that one person to stick with the same makeup routine and only pick up what I was running out of. It was getting a little boring and I felt like there was so much out there to offer for me as there are so many incredible brands out there who create such great makeup products which genuinely work and make you look good.

I gathered some new makeup bits from Superdrugs and some from MAC (can you believe I'm actually purchasing more things from mac?!) and thought I'd share with you what I got.

Maybelline master brow pro palette. Let's face it, everyone knows that I leave my brows out when it comes to doing my makeup, I never really knew what the fuss was about. However, I really want to get into doing my brows now as I think they look great on some people. I feel like when you fill your brows in it really defines your face and can complete the look so I opted for this brow palette from Maybelline. Whether it works okay for me I'm not sure, but I'll definitely update you on that one. This palette comes with a brow wax, colour and brow-bone highlighter.

Maybelline master sculpt contour and highlighter. I have never in my life contoured, and quite frankly the whole concept scares me, however I've heard a few people rave about this so I wanted to give it a go and test myself on what I thought of it. This looks great to start me off with, as I don't think I'm at all ready for cream contour just yet. I love this one from Maybelline, the travel-sized packaging should come in handy for the times I need a bit of contouring up. This also comes with a highlighter which I'm not hugely obsessing over as I don't wear highlighter anyway! However I'd like to be a bit more adventurous with my makeup.

Rimmel scandal eyes precision eyeliner. I haven't used a different eyeliner since I found my love for the Soap and glory super cat liner. I'm quite protective when it comes to makeup as I feel like it's a risk when trying new products that you're already comfortable with. Luckily this purchase was kind of needed. It was back when I had a competition at college and I forgot about eyeliner so I grabbed this one hoping it would be okay. Much to my luck it looked amazing on my model and really defined her eyes. I mainly like the look of this because the liner itself is felt-tip based which is what I'm most comfortable with therefore I'm praying to the eyeliner gods that I'm going to like this one.

MAC lipstick in "stone". I really pushed the buttons this year and purchased something from MAC. My first ever purchase was "velvet teddy" and I was so impressed with the formulation and appearance that I knew I had to go and try another one. I picked up the shade "stone" which was way out of my comfort zone with lipsticks but it's already become my favourite lipstick to try. Its a cool-toned colour which looks great on pale people like me. It has the same texture and formulation as velvet teddy which is really great because there's nothing worse than a matte lipstick feeling horrible on your lips. I was so impressed with this and I'm already making new lists of lipsticks I'd love to try from MAC.

I'd love to know if any of you have tried out the makeup that I've bought, it's great to hear other people's opinions!

Feeling alone and ways to help yourself

Image result for tumblr quotes black and white happy

I spent the majority of January in a shell, feeling distant with the world and a little down. I've never really been one to have a major crisis in life and let it get to me but for some reason I just wasn't my complete self. Things got in the way, and it changed my perspective on life, and all I can remember is thinking to myself "when will this pain end?" It opened a lot of things for me, and I learnt a lot from it. I want this blog post to be able to inspire others and for them to know that it's okay to feel alone, and there are things in which you can do to improve yourself and allow yourself to have a more free mind.

Having a positive mindset.
I couldn't count on one hand the amount of times someone has said to me well you just need to think positive about it, because to be honest it would go straight through one ear and out the other. However, I cannot stress enough how much this helped me get through things. Although you may have your mind set on everything that's getting you down, having a positive attitude to it will help you so much. They always say that if you think negative about something you will get the negative, but if you think positive about something then everything will turn out okay. I strongly believe this because as soon as I started thinking positive about everything and reminding myself that I was going to be okay, it got a lot easier for me and I started looking at my problems in a much more positive way.

Do what makes you happy.
When you're feeling low, all you really want to do is indulge yourself and get away from the issue. Treating yourself to something you love will really benefit you. I usually have a pamper evening or buy some new clothes but the choice is really up to you, as long as it's making you happy. I feel like there's something really therapeutic about buying something you've been wanting for a long time, or completely relaxing for the evening. Whatever you do, I can guarantee that it will improve your mind.

Spend time with the people you love
I learnt a lot last month, and if there's one thing that I learnt then it was definitely being surrounded by the people I love. Sometimes you can feel so alone that you forget what it's like to be surrounded by people, but when you are it's the best feeling. I've been loving spending time with my college friends as we're all so close and get on really well. I look forward to going into college now because I know that everything will feel so much better once I'm surrounded by my friends. Make plans with your friends or even your family, and make it a day to remember for all the good reasons.

The Body Shop hand cream

I've never really been into hand creams, but recently my hands have become so incredibly dry, due to having to wash them pretty much 24/7 in the salon and also at work. As much as it's great to stay clean all of the time it isn't actually good for your hands to constantly have harsh chemicals being wiped all over them.

I was gifted this hand cream at Christmas and was super excited to test it out because I've known so many people who've used this and said great things about it. I also wanted to get into The Body Shop a bit more this year, as they seem to be such a great brand that almost everyone enjoys using. This one is the Strawberry hand cream, and the first thing that I noticed was the packaging. I don't know what it is, but I just love something about this packaging, it really fascinates me for some reason.

The hand cream in itself is actually really good, and actually does make such a difference to dry hands. My hands were extremely dry when I first used this, so it was great so see if it worked, and it does. There's no sticky feeling to it, and it dries within seconds but obviously moisturizing at the same time. I just love it, I definitely want to start using more Body shop products as there's so much to offer from them!

My current skincare routine*

I've recently found a new love for the brand Dermalogica, and when I was kindly contacted asking if I'd like to try out some of their products I jumped right in with a big fat yes. Dermalogica are a brand in which I've grown to love within the past 4 months due to using their products at college. Their products are tailored for specific skin types, and although any skincare can't completely change your skin type, it can improve it. I just love how wide the range of Dermalogica products are, and how much they have to offer.

I use the pre cleanse to remove the excess makeup off of my face, and also to remove the tiniest of dirt that's stuck on there. It's specifically designed to help remove the excess sebum off of your face that ave been building up on your face throughout the day, which causes blemishes and sometimes comedones. The pre cleanse also allows your pores to be opened, ensuring that the special cleansing gel penetrates deeper into your skin, giving it the cleanse it deserves. I think this stuff works wonders because it removes almost 99% of the dirt on my face, making it clean and ready for cleansing. It feels extremely comfortable on my skin, blending in really well.

I use the special cleansing gel as my main cleanser. This stuff is amazing, and it really does the job of cleansing your skin properly. It's almost as if you can feel it doing it's job right in front of you, and my skin honestly feels so fresh after using this. I also love how lightweight this is, and how much a little goes a long way. I usually apply a small amount onto wet hands, and then lather up. I then use circular motions to give a deep penetration into my skin, ensuring that the product is really working into my skin.

The daily microfoliant is probably my favourite product. I loved playing with this in college, learning the best way to have this and what consistency it should be. This comes in powder form, so you have to add water to create the exfoliating feeling. It shouldn't be too thick, and it shouldn't be too water either. This exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling refreshed, and clean. This, again feels amazing on my skin. It feels great when you're applying it on, as if you can see it working on your skin already. I just love it.

I've been on the hunt for a good moisturizer for as long as I can remember. I've tried so many, but the majority of them just don't seem to impress them as I never felt the benefit from them. The active moist I've recently been using has completely changed my whole perception. I love how great this is, and my skin feels great after using it. It's designed to help beat dehydration which is great because my skin can become so dry especially around this time.

So, that's my current skincare routine. I'm absolutely loving it, and I'm so pleased I was asked to work with Dermalogica on this one, I don't think I could ever change my skincare routine for the time being. My skin has never felt so clean and happy, and if my skin is happy then I'm happy.

Current beauty favourites

I've been wanting to step up my makeup game this year, try out new brands and own a variety of different makeup. I was useless last year as I only used the products that I was used too, I was basically too scared to try anything I didn't know. I wanted to change that up this year and experiment, so I've collected a couple of new makeup pieces that I've grown to love, and also a few of my old favourites have made an appearance.

MAC velvet teddy matte lipstick - I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I felt so proud. I have always wanted a MAC lipstick and I just knew that I had to try the lipsticks out one day. I chose velvet teddy as my first choice of shade as I've always wanted to own this one and I tried it one once and it looked amazing. I find that the feeling of these lipsticks don't crack your lips at all, and being a matte lipstick that's pretty impressive. It's super long lasting too which is great because there's nothing worse than making ten trips to the toilet just to top up your lipstick.

Maybelline fit me foundation - I found this earlier in the year of 2016 and I wasn't too sure about it as I'm extremely fussy with foundations. Much to my luck this foundation works really well for me and I've been using it ever since. I love how buildable the coverage is, and how comfortable it feels on your skin. A lot of foundations in which I've previously used have felt extremely cakey and sticky that it put me off. This has been a complete life saver, and for only £7.99 you just cannot go wrong.

Collection lasting perfection concealer - Believe it or not I never used to like this concealer. I think it was mainly down to using the wrong products at the wrong time. I love it now. I think the coverage is fantastic and it really does the job of covering imperfections, especially under the eye. It lasts absolutely ages too, so if you're wanting to go out and you're worried about your makeup sliding off then you wont have to worry.

Maybelline instant age eraser eye concealer - This is a fairly new edition to my makeup collection, and I'm really digging it. I love the application, it feels super nice on the skin, and I also love the coverage of this too. A little really does go a long way with this one, and it feels so comfortable on my skin, almost as if it isn't really there.

Maybelline lash sensational mascara - I cannot stress enough how much I love this mascara. It does the job so well and I get so many compliments on my lashes. The length of them just expands times two which is great. I also love how long lasting this mascara is, and there's no fall out whatsoever which is also great, meaning that there's no need to carry it in your makeup bag all day.

So, these are my current beauty favourites. I've loved each and every one of them equally, however I would like to try out a lot more makeup, just to widen my makeup collection. Let me know what your current favourite beauty products are currently!

New beginnings

2016 had completely flown by and I cannot contrast enough how tough yet amazing it's been. So many good things happened in 2016, however some pretty crappy things happened too but I want to push all of that aside and make 2017 a year of new beginnings and a fresh start. I didn't want to set myself new year resolutions as I never stick to them at all. I wanted to set myself a task on actually making changes within my life, mentally and physically. I spend hours lying in bed, day dreaming of what could be something great, yet I never push myself to actually do it. But I want to do something great with my life, do the things I've always dreaming of doing and making it a year of courage, and showing others that it's okay to go and follow your dreams.

My blog is my life. I absolutely love it with all my heart and anyone who knows me will openly tell you that I always go that extra mile with my blog. My blog posts always have to be perfect and my photos always have to look presentable. I cannot count the amount of times in which I have written up a whole blog post, but then deleted it because it looked crappy. I only post the good content, however I want to be a bit more open on my blog. I want to do more with it. I'd love to give my readers advice and share special parts of my life with you. I've never owned a diary before, but my blog is close to that. I want this blog to inspire people, and for people to know that it's okay to be who you are.

My diet and exercise sucks. I eat far too many doughnuts, and I spend far too much time sitting in my room. I've decided that it's time to change that. I want to get out more, walking places and finding new places. I want to be able to go out to a restaurant and not order a burger, but to be able to order something healthy and something that's not going to make me regret it within 5 hours. I want to get the body I've always dreamed of, and I'm going to achieve it.

I sometimes come across to people as a little moody, which is what I want to change in 2017. It's not good for others to have that perception of you. I see myself as this negative person on the outside, but on the inside I'm full of love for people. I love being around people who are positive and those who make me happy.

I want to be able to pass my course. Beauty has change me so much already, and I just want to do it right. I want to pass something and be proud of it. Although assignments get on my nerves a lot of the time, it's all worth it in the end. I'm a strong believer of the quote, If you want something in life, you've got to work hard for it. I'd also love to pass my maths this year. I didn't pass the first time round but I'm hoping that I pass time time, I mean it would mean the world for someone who sucks at maths.

So they're the things I'd like to achieve for 2017. They're the things I'm going to work extremely hard for. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas, let me know what your own goals are.

Thanks so much for reading my little old blog.
