12 days of Tanya burr

I love being able to countdown the days to Christmas, I find that there's something just so exciting about it. I usually settle with a simple chocolate advent calendar but this year I wanted to try out the Tanya Burr beauty advent calendar. I don't own anything from the Tanya burr cosmetics apart from a lip gloss and a nail polish so I  thought this would be a great way for me to get started and see what I think about it all.

These three gorgeous lippies are so pretty. They come in the shades Christmas stocking, berry pavlova and candy cane. Christmas stocking is a matte lip which I'm so excited to try because I'm really loving red lips at the moment. The other two are lip-glosses in which I haven't yet tried but will definitely be doing a review on soon. My favourite shade has definitely got to be Christmas stocking  as I love the colour so much and it looks highly pigmented with the swatching.

I was mostly excited about these as anything to do with nail polish I love. I own so many Rimmel nail polishes that I thought it would be great for a change. These three nail polishes were definitely right up my street as I was in need of some more glitters to add to my collection. The shades of these polishes are sleigh bells, glitter rain and glitters and gold. I'm a sucker for dark red polish so sleigh bells will definitely not disappoint me at all. I love the glitter polishes, they're going to be perfect to add as a top coat.

I've never used a glitter liner before so this was a new product for me to try. The colours are both pretty simple, in the shades ice crystals and treasured. I think these will work really well with party looks, and it will look great on top of some black liner or as a cut crease. I'll be doing a review of these some point in the new year, so watch out for that!

There seems to be a glitter theme throughout this years calendar, but I wasn't complaining. During the party season you just can't not wear glitter, can you? I think it's what makes the look complete. These glitter pots look especially pretty to me, and I cannot wait to try them out. They're in the shades champayne sparkle, which is a gorgeous gold and snow day which is a pretty white silver.

I absolutely loved the Tanya Burr advent calendar this year. I didn't have last years one, but this was amazing. I loved each and every product, including the nail file and the mirror and I just know that they will all come in super handy.

Have any of yous tried out the Tanya Burr advent calendar this year? Let me know in the comments what you think!

The prettiest nail duo

I absolutely adore painting my nails, and now Christmas is round the corner it gives me that extra excuse to add in the glitter. I wouldn't usually apply glitter polish onto my nails unless it's party season so I was pretty excited to try this one out. Thankfully, I recieved the Tanya Burr advent calendar and in door 6 there was a gorgeous nail polish in the shade glitters and gold. Gold is my Christmas colour, it looks gorgeous and pretty much goes with any outfit which is why I knew I could get away with this polish with any of my others. I settled with using another of my Tanya Burr nail polish in the shade soft pyjamas which is a pretty lilac/grey shade. This polish is matte which I must say I'm not a huge fan of, so I applied some top coat to add the gloss and that worked a lot. I then topped on the glitters and gold shade onto my ring finger to add that extra glam. It worked so well, and looks gorgeous, too!

Have you tried any of Tanya Burr's nail polishes? Which ones are your favourite if so?

The prettiest palette I ever did see

I was incredibly lucky to receive the Violet Voss holy grail palette as part as a giveaway. I had never heard of Violet Voss until I applied for the giveaway but five minutes into my research I was really impressed with the reviews and the colours that are in this palette. This palette is extremely hard to get hold of if you're in the UK which sucks if you're wanting it, so I was again extremely lucky. A lot of good reviews have come from this palette, and the colours are absolutely gorgeous if I must say. The colours of this palette are warm, yet extremely Autumnal. There's every colour that you could want, from champagne golds to pretty cranberries. It was right up my street and I just knew that it wouldn't disappoint me.

I'm only used to drugstore eye shadows so I was completely shocked over how well the formula of this palette was. The shadows were so easy to blend and there was no fall out whatsoever which was amazing. Fall out from eye shadow really does put me off a lot so I was happy that these ones just stayed on. I found that with my other palettes whenever you blended the colours in they would just disappear, but these ones stick on which is great. The colours are also highly pigmented and give a warm touch to your eyes, making it perfect for around this time of the year, too.

My most used shades are brownie points, cool beans and r u kitten me. I always use transition as my transition shade as it adds a bit more definition to the eyelids and makes the shadow stand out a lot more. I apply some adhesive glitter on top too to add the extra pop, but these are my go to colours. I will be experimenting with some of the other shades too which I am super excited to do.

Have you got this palette? What are your thoughts on it?
